Excitement in Rome!

Today was another successful educational day!

The English classes gave great presentations on their particular essays and the History class discussed Rome’s foundation with St. Peter’s Square as the backdrop. While we’re in the area, we might as well witness some of the most meaningful art pieces in the Vatican Museum. Michaelangelo’s Sistine Chapel was a marvel. St. Peter’s Basilica was as spectacular as we had hoped. We seemed so small looking up at the mosaic ceiling and Bernini’s Baldacchino.

After a packed day and a beautiful dinner, some of us decided to check out the Trevi Fountain. We all had a chance to make a wish, which probably revolved around wanting to return to Rome!

Good News – We witnessed a gentleman proposing to his girlfriend (and she said yes!)

Better News – It wasn’t one of our students!

Tomorrow, class and free afternoon in Rome!
