First Classes!
Both History and English classes lectured just outside
of Il Duomo di Firenze. Students learned about their subjects in the backdrop of one of Florence’s
most important landmarks. After class, our walking tour started around
the city. We started by visiting the Duomo and discussing its historical and architectural value. We continued to the Uffizi gallery, discussing
the art and sculptures that surround it. If that wasn't beautiful enough, we gazed upon the sights of Ponte Vecchio. Knowing
its distinct history and the wars it has lived through adds a distinct value to
seeing and picturing it.
Our students became instant bargainers while visiting Florence’s famous leather market. Be careful of their new abilities to haggle!
